FunPark RPG cup #2

error1.3 and >Y< is hosting the second FunPark RPG cup between 13th and 15th November. As the last time, everybody is free to join. Here's some info from error1.3's forum:

When
It will be a 3 day event, 13. 14. and 15. November 2009. It will start at 19:00 CET (18:00 UTC) everyday, we moved start time back becouse of Sunday, some of people have work or school next day and they want/need to go to bed early. First two days we expect around 2h-3h for CUP, on last day even up to 4h.

Where?
Event will take place on our server in sweden. server will be called FunPark|RPG CUP#2 (FunPark|RPG CUP#2 whit colors). Train server (whit the same name) will be online from 1. November so everybudy can go and train.

How will we play?
We will play on mode CUP, 2 rounds on every track, finish time out will be set to 10min so after the first player reches finish others will have 10min to finish, after 2 ronds we will go to next track. But before we start a new track there will be a 10min break, in that time you can go eat, toilete, etc etc etc. On end of all there tracks ScreenShots of points will be taken. On end of all there days, we will cont the points and the first persone will recive coppers.
The foloving point sistem will be use:

Prize?
The last CUPs award sistem worked out realy well so we are going whit that one again. And becouse we are voluntarily club we don't have the funds needed to get/buy a realy cool prize. So winer will get what you give him, thats right, winner will get your donnated coppers, donnate coppers to our server for the winner of next FP RPG CUP! All coppers from our two servers (FunPark|RPG and CUPs train server) will be donnated to the winner.
But this time we will also show top 10 donnators, whit the resoults of CUP there will also be the resoults of top donnations.

FunPark RPG cup - results day #3

The first map was Mario World by fish. In round 1, me and HawkGer had an epic battle towards the end, and we were milliseconds apart when entering the last room. But I won with 2 seconds, but there is no screenshot from this track (I think error1.3 hates me.. still no screenshots from me winning ^^.). Also, because xaseco was restarted, there is no local records or dedimania records as a proof, and the track is deleted from TMX, so nowhere to post the replay. However, we do have a screenshot from the awesome time Hawk did on round 2:


if only it was readable.

Because something went wrong when added the loc-updated version of Mykérinos, we had to play Giza first. Hawk dominated both rounds, and drove fast as always.

Error1.3 had to restart the server to get Mykérinos working, so the points were reset. HawkGer drove a nearly flawless run, and took a new world record in round 1: 11:23.73. The second round on Mykérinos, where Hawk had already won, was extremely humorous, and the best time was over 20 minutes.

Error1.3 has promised us a second RPG cup in a few months, so we are looking forward to that. I'll take the screenshots myself next time though ^^.

In the first round, Sobékite was played. Kryw took the first place in round 1, and in round 2 HawkGer drove an excellent run, clocked in at 10:21.51, and beat Klody's world record with 20 seconds.

Round 2, "The Boat" by Stromek, was dominated by HawkGer, who won both rounds, and set a nice 2nd Dedimania time: 12:22.90.

FunPark RPG cup - results day #1

In the first round, somebody:) forgot to set the server mode to CUP, so we drove Castle of Shadows one time in TA. Hawk beat me with the magical 0.06 seconds, which I find relatively funny ^^. Anyway, because of this, we drove 2 rounds per track, instead of 3, which probably was better after all.

For Castle of Shadows, HawkGer set a new world record with 11:02.43, beating his old 11:10.69 run. HawkGer won both rounds on CoS, and got 20 points from that, but I can't find a screenshot from this map.

Legopolis was also totally dominated by HawkGer, with two wins and a new, extremely nice world record: 11:57.22.



Luckily, Montezumas Trasure wasn't entirely dominated by the hawk ^^. I (Tecfan) won both rounds, and also set a new world record: 7:32.73.

FunPark RPG Cup

error1.3 recently tipped me about a new event which he and >Y< is hosting. It's called the "FunPark cup", and is a 3-day cup for RPG players. Remember this date: Friday 25th - Sunday 27th September.. Mainly the cup is about having fun, but there might also be a special prize for you if you win ;). The RPG blog will of course follow this event closely.

Why FunPark?
Because it's the name as our server. We come up with this name because mainly we are about having fun while hunting for the records. This is also our grand opening of this server.


Who can compete?
Everyone who wants to. Join the server, there is no limitation of any kind.


When?
This will be a 3day event. It will be held on the 25-26-27th September 2009 at 18:00 UTC.


Where?
This will take place on FunPark | RPG CUP server in Sweden. Server will be online from every day until the Cup so you can practice.


What will the winner get?
This time award will be a little different. The more players donate, the more coppers the winner will receive. There is no fixed price, so donate as much as you can to get more and more and more. Please donate.

error1.3 and >Y< are organizing this Cup. Just another crazy idea but it will be fun to compete will all RPG players around the world. There will be also betting on the players before the final round. So even if you didn't got in the finals you can still make something out of this.


Betting:
Betting will start when the last round on 26th ends. You can bet on your favorite player by sending a PM or in game mail to login: pcerrornerd (click on the letter icon on top right corner whene you enter your TMUF game). You need to write how much you bet and on who do you bet. Betting will close before the final round starts (27th September at 18:00 UTC). Names of the finalists will be posted on the cup's homepage.
