Ex Gehenna, by Enai Siaion

|
Recently, Enai Siaion released his track Ex Gehenna on TMX, after numerous exciting screenshots in the RPG thread. The track features the Drack car mod, which is perfect for this urban setting. "Half RPG, half story track, this is the result of many hours of work. It is set in an alternate hellish world where you get to find the spirits of those you killed and set them free.". When you first start the track, you are given the option to either turn right and watch a fantastic intro with the whole story, or turn left and start with the race. There's also story texts ingame when you drive, to fulfill the story. It's a very impressive city, very impressive story and very impressive MT work (although I am glad that the cut-scenes now are in-game text). I highly recommend you drive this track some time soon. I've added a few screenshots, and a few videos (made by Occam)

Puzzletime, by Stromek

|
Stromek is back with another perfect RPG. This time you have to collect all the pieces of the Magic Sun, which gives energy to the Puzzleworld. It has a custom mod made by Stromek himself, (called Puzzlemod), and I must say - it looks awesome. The track itself is short for a Stromek track, and a 8 minute time is possible. It's fun the first time, and it's fun hunting the records, so you should all run to your favorite server and play it.

Stromek and Big Al with new tracks

|
Today we would like to shed light on two new RPG's which have been released in the last week.

After having tapped into building RPG tracks with his shortie RPG 'Indiana Jones', Big Al released 4 days ago yet another RPG track named 'Sports'. As the name suggests, the track is all about Sports and the various disciplines it offers. Brutal transferred those disciplines into this track by making the route of every CP-section look like a certain Sports challenge. Those challenges are not only the most obvious like hurdling or high-jumping but also very surprising ones like speedboating or cliff-diving. At the end of the track you will reach a skate park and have to collect 10 rings, the most challenging discipline. The track has many jumps and stunts in it and is thus not a racestyle-RPG. It has an open design which looks quite good thanks to the Forest-Mod.

The second track we would like to present is a new track from Stromek, called 'Project Kitchen'.
In the course of the track you will have to find your way through a kitchen, learning how to cook :-) Watch this video to see what you will be up to:

Camateraz, by Brutal

|
Brutal just posted his new map, Camateraz on TMX. Nearly 50 players at the same time drove it on Pixelsport RPG, and the only -- it got was from an angry player who couldn't do the last jump - which is the hardest part of the track (45 players finished though, so it's not THAT hard). The track has the Inca mod by fish, and has a good flow and some nice tricks. A good RPG for beginners, and good RPG for rec hunting.

The last room - Chamber of Darkness. You have to take 7 rings before going on the big and scary jump (which .maX here shows us how not to do:>)

.Max is again showing you how not to do it :>

An enormous thank-you to occam for these screenshots and videos:

RPG news #1

|
As always there are a lot of things going on in the RPG world, so here's a little summary from the last few days. We will let you know when these tracks are released, so remember to subscribe to the blog's RSS feed so you always get get latest posts in your RSS reader.

On the fish front there's not only one, but two new tracks in the making. Here's some tempting screens:
This first track is called Area 51 and should probably be out soon. When we beta-tested it, there were not too much work again. This one will probably take you a long time on the first run. You have to look for the way, and the tricks are hard.

This next track, also by fish, is called "Being fish". Here you'll drive around in fish's room I think. You'll go on his desktop, inside his computer, inside his pinball, inside his carnivorous plant and inside his messy book shelf. Some people might hate this mod, and some people might love it. The route is very innovative I can tell you, and it's not too far from release on this one either I think.

In other fish-related news, he has updated his track Il Nome Della Rosa with an easier start and a mod update + some trick updates too. The main reason for the update is probably that we will drive this track in the 5h RPG round race. He has also updated tmCry, because there were quite a bit whining about the "luck parts" when we were driving it in the 4th RPG round race .

Kryw also has two map updates for us. The first map is called Darah, and is a pyramid map with an updated GM mod. So some screens from Darah:

And his second map in the making is called Exceeder. Looks like we're up for a new RPG feeling this time too (yeah, I am referring to Domnann)

Kryw is also planning to MT-update the following tracks: Camelot (also locator update for this), Saqqarah, Honduras, Domnann, + Darah and Exceeder. He will get visit from Hubertis, so I guess they will working hard.

D3mon also chimed in with some new screenshots from his track. Sadly, these were his words: "Unfortunately I'm not motivated enough to finish Frozen Breath"

Montezumas Treasure, by TStarGermany

|

Today, Montezumas Treasure by TStarGermany was finally uploaded to TMX. I've tried it quite a few times in different beta tests. The first time, we only checked the route, and the second time I got to see all the MT. The track is almost 200kB big, so lots of MT. The story is in the intro, so be sure to watch that one. The mod is original (made especially for this map), and the intro/ingame sounds fits perfectly. Not so much more to say, it's a very fun map too play. Very easy to find the route, and it's something special. I don't think you'll feel like you have played this before. The last room is very nice too (you have to take 10 rings).

I think it's time for some screens:

Domnann, by Kryw

|

A few hours ago Domnann was released on TMX. This is not very similar to his old temples, and that's good. I think we have enough temples for now (don't get me wrong, I love them). Anyway, this map reminds me so insanely much about the old kz maps from Counter-Strike if anyone remembers. I'm sure you'll get the same feeling too from playing it or watching the screenshots.

This track has very many jumps, just like Castle of Shadows, only that this track has rough jumps, not smooth. And I quite like that. The route is very clear, nobody at Pixelsport RPG forgot any CPs as far as I know. The only thing I don't like is the multi-lap start, which means that your replay won't get autosaved.

Castle of Shadows, by Eie

|

Today, Eie released his new and wonderful track, Castle of Shadows. Like his other tracks, this one has some very tricky jumps and a clear route. It is in the middle age mod (1). You can play it at Pixelsport RPG.

TMX ID: 1592701
AT: 17 minutes
First-time length: from 30 to 90 minutes
Difficulty: Intermediate

I have now driven this track, and it's such a blast. Everything is just so smooth. You don't need 10 minutes on one spot, you just drive along - but that doesn't mean that you don't have to think. There are many new tricks here that we haven't seen before. I think that most observant people will manage to get all CPs on the first try. Just remember, always look for rings! There are no hidden rings, but they might be hard to see if you just speed past them.
